Research profile and key clinical specialties

I am a NIHR Senior Investigator and Professor of Clinical Trials Research and I have an established portfolio of research in skin and wounds research in areas including diagnostics, wound prevention and treatment.

The research group is multidisciplinary, including clinical academics in dermatology, diabetes, vascular and plastic surgery and tissue viability nationally and internationally and CTU leadership in statistics/trial methods.

I am an experienced NIHR Chief Investigator and multicentre trialist (circa £31m) including 12 as Chief Investigator in pressure ulcer prevention/wounds (£6.2m) and 7 skin portfolio studies as lead trialist (£7.4m).
