I grew up in Coventry before studying medical sciences at the University of Cambridge. I have always been fascinated by the brain and my third year at Cambridge was in Physiology, Development and Neuroscience. I then studied clinical medicine at the University of Oxford. My foundation training was on a neurosciences Academic Foundation Programme in East Anglia with a research block at Cambridge'€™s Department of Psychiatry. I currently work as an NIHR Neurology Academic Clinical Fellow associated with the University of Manchester.

Research Interest: Neural compensatory mechanisms that retain and recover language function post stroke.
