During my time at medical school in Manchester, I became interested in cardiology, and in particular arrhythmias and the inherited channelopathies. I undertook an intercalated BSc which gave me my first taste of clinical research in a lab-based project examining the ion channel composition of rabbit hearts during post-natal development. This knowledge informed my clinical practice and gave me the opportunity to think about medicine in a different way. Most recently, during my clinical cardiology training, I have worked on imaging projects and computer modelling of ventricular scarring, which I hope to use as the basis for further study.

Research Interest:  My research interest is in improving risk stratification methods to predict sudden cardiac death using novel imaging techniques.
