I attended medical school at UCL, where I also completed an intercalated BSc in Human Genetics, with a research-based final project, looking at the effect of a variant in the imprinted 'PHLDA2' gene on birth weight. I continued this work over the following summer vacation with the help of a Wellcome Trust Summer Studentship. I am currently an Academic Clinical Fellow in Renal Medicine, based in the South Yorkshire division of the Yorkshire and Humber Deanery, where I have been looking at the types of mutations in ADPKD, and ways that they could be treated with mutation-targeted therapies.
