I graduated from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana in 2009, and received a scholarship to undertake a medical elective at the University of Oxford in my penultimate year. My research interest started on the promising note of being awarded the prize for the best dissertation at the graduation ceremony of my medical school. I have since obtained a number of first author peer-reviewed publications. I have contributed to the work of the NonCommunicable Disease (NCD)-risC collaboration, which has collated global data on hypertension and published in the Lancet. I completed the MRCP exams at first attempt within 13 months.

Research Interest: I am interested in dissecting the role of insulin like growth factor-1 in the endothelium in the vascular and metabolic complications of obesity induced type 2 diabetes mellitus.
