I graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2009 having completed both an intercalated research based degree as well as my primary medical degree. As a post graduate I continued my interest in research based activity, after completing core medical training I worked as a research fellow at the University of York, Centre of Immunology and Infection. This gave me a valuable opportunity to immerse myself in a research based environment and oversee the clinical aspect of a phase I vaccine trial as well as lead protocol development for a future study. In my current post I combine clinical and lab based training with the numerous research opportunities in the department.
Research Interest: I am interested in the role of the innate immune system in inflammation as well as developing biomarkers for autoinflammatory diseases.
